Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Endoscopy Staff Nurse to join our dynamic and highly skilled Endoscopy team. Previous endoscopy experience is essential for this role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse who is a strong team player and committed to delivering high-quality patient care while continuing to develop their clinical skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Our busy Endoscopy Unit consists of four procedure rooms and provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These include:

Gastroscopy

Colonoscopy
-
Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

PEG insertion
-
Bronchoscopy
We provide services for both outpatients and inpatients and also operate a dedicated recovery area to support patient care throughout the endoscopy pathway.
The successful candidate will work 4 days a week, which may include evenings and weekends, and will participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours services, including 24 hours on the weekend.
We are looking for a nurse who demonstrates excellent teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the specialty.
Informal visits to the department are welcomed.
Main duties of the job
To provide high standard of nursing care, and to actively participate in and contribute to the management of the Endoscopy Unit.
The post holder is also expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with/without direct supervision, following appropriate training and will be required to demonstrate procedures to qualified and unqualified staff.
Participate in the maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures and provide technical assistance during such procedures.
