Advanced Paediatric Audiologist AFC - Band 7 4 days Permanent contract, 30 hours per weekWe are looking for an experienced, motivated Advanced Paediatric Audiologist to join our friendly team.
We are seeking a clinician who is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic and rehabilitative care for babies, children and young people.
You will contribute to service development, provide clinical leadership within the paediatric team, and ensure that care is delivered in line with national best-practice standards.
Applicants who do not yet hold full competency in ABR testing are welcome to apply --comprehensive training and supervision will be provided to develop this specialist skill.
There will also be an opportunity to attend the Anglia Ruskin ABR course to support ABR training.
You will be responsible for leading on assessments of children of all ages, as well as supporting Consultant-led Paediatric clinics.
The role will include leading on aspects of service provision in the 2nd tier service in Camden & Islington.
This is a great opportunity for you to take a lead role in a tertiary Paediatric service.

Main duties of the job
The Department of Audiological Medicine is a Consultant-led service. The post holder will be part of the multi disciplinary team responsible for the provision of a wide range of Paediatric services across Haringey and Camden and Islington.
The post holder is expected to provide a comprehensive diagnostic Service under the clinical support of the Consultant and Lead Senior Clinical scientist. This will include provision of a diagnostic service for referrals from the Newborn hearing screening program and habilitation of babies and children following diagnosis of a permanent hearing loss.
The postholder will also have line management responsibilities and be expected to contribute to service development.

We are a Consultant led service, providing a comprehensive diagnostic and (re)habilitation service to neonates, children, and Adults in the boroughs of Haringey, Camden and Islington. We are also the tertiary centre for the Newborn hearing screening program for babies referred from Haringey and Enfield, and so have close links with the Teachers of the Deaf.
