Come and join our amazing maternity team.
We have a very successful and sought-after Midwifery Preceptorship Programme. Our Preceptorship programme was one of 5 of the 23 maternity trusts in London to achieve the Capital Midwife quality mark in the first wave. Whittington Trust follows best practice for Preceptorships, invests in midwives and supports their professional development at the start of their career.
The Preceptorship covers Antenatal and Postnatal wards, Maternity assessment unit, community and Intrapartum placements on both high-risk Labour ward and our beautiful Midwifery led Birth Centre.
For Band 6 Midwives, we currently have both core rotational posts available.
All applicants must have an active NMC Pin number by end November 2024

Main duties of the job
Band 5 and Band 6 Midwives
Salary dependent on experience
Band 5: £39,521 per annum inclusive of HCAS
(Fixed Term Contract - 12 months with permanent Band 6 given on completion of Preceptorship)
Band 6: £40,448 - £47,965 per annum inclusive HCAS
(Permanent contract)

We are a friendly unit where our staff are well supported through a strong practice development and PMA support systems.
Our midwives work a varied range of shifts and hours in all areas of midwifery including days, nights and weekends as well as an on call basis to support women birthing at home.
We also have vacancies to work in all areas of the maternity unit, including labour ward and antenatal and postnatal.
