Radiology Consultant - Wood Green CDC
The Wood Green CDC officially opened at the end of August 2022 offering services such as phlebotomy, x-ray, ultrasound and ophthalmology.
The aim of the CDC is to shorten patient pathways, improve health inequalities in areas of high socio-economic deprivation and provide additional support to secondary care. This will be achieved predominantly through GP direct access with some capacity reserved for secondary care referrals, with reporting of target lists.
The candidate should therefore be proficient with general body cross section reporting, and subspecialty interest including Paediatric radiology would be advantageous.

Plans are underway to manage the x-ray department with 6 reporting radiographers (Chest and MSK reporting), and 3 standard radiographers. The candidate would be expected to support the radiographer team at the CDC. Ultrasound will be managed by 5 fully qualified sonographers.
The successful candidate will have access to a reporting workstation the CDC, and will be expected to cross cover general radiology on call at The Whittington Health NHS Trust in Archway, North London.
Interview date: 24 January 2023.
