Job description

Job responsibilities

If youre a creative thinker, with a commercial mind, a self-motivated natural organiser, and great at relationship-building, you can become a part of our professional team of fourteen speech and language therapists and three administration staff. You will have particular responsibility for developing our unique therapy and training programmes for private sector patients and therapists, growing our profile in the UK and developing an international presence including the Middle East, North America and Asia. We see this as a great role for an ambitious individual who is eager to learn and build their career in healthcare.

Reporting to the Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for developing a business and marketing plan alongside a detailed action plan focussing on the identified and new areas of growth to deliver revenue targets. You will work closely with the specialist speech and language therapists at the Centre and with our colleagues across Whittington Health NHS Trust.

You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to grow our services, developing relationships with clinical teams, key health funders and commissioning leaders. This will involve researching international and domestic market opportunities and recommending priority areas for growth; understanding the current product and service offerings of the MPC and commoditising these at a price point that is attractive to grow the business; marketing and selling the products on an international scale, cold calling where necessary, as well as developing long term national and international relationships.

You will also identify, engage and convert prospective philanthropic supporters, including but not limited to major donors and corporate partners. You will also proactively build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organisations, some of which already support the Centre as donors and as in-kind supporters.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people outside of the NHS and healthcare setting, who will bring their sales and development skills to this worthwhile cause.
