Job summary

The Engagement and Communications Manager will support a number of significant programmes, primarily those focused on developing our estate, with engagement activity - the creation of a health hub in Haringey in partnership with the the London Borough of Haringey and other partners, the expansion of a Community Diagnostic Centre and our maternity and neonatal transformation project.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead on planning, identifying and delivering engagement activity with people in the communities, placing listening and co-production at the heart of developing our plans. You will provide general communications advice to support these projects more widely.

Working closely with Trust leadership and senior management, the post holder will provide advice on and, in partnership with project/clinical leads, deliver engagement activity to support our services and strategic projects team to develop plans to meet the needs of local people on an agreed range of projects. The post-holder will also ensure our key messages are clearly articulated.

The post holder will primarily support the Estates Strategy team on public engagement and consultation activities, including providing advice on when and how to engage staff on future plans. This will include working and liaising with local partners, overview and scrutiny committees and local community organisations and stakeholders. As well as creating the strategies to engage our communities and stakeholders in the development of plans, the post holder will also be required to design and produce the materials to execute them including social and digital resources, physical assets, engagement materials and other tactical products such as media releases and opportunities. The post holder will also be required to provide broader communications support to projects as they progress.
