Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist

Job summary
An exciting opportunity to provide high standard care to children and families with epilepsy. This will be in collaboration with the lead epilepsy consultant nurse, a paediatric consultant with expertise in epilepsy and the extended multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will work across the UHCW and Rugby St Cross site, whilst occasionally needing to attend meetings within the community.
The post holder will be involved in developing and delivering expert patient-centred care based on local and national guidance. Care delivered will include patient assessment, planning and implementing of specialist care, provision of advice/support and education in collaboration with the wider MDT including child protection/safeguarding teams.
The post holder will be involved in audit, assist in leading a small team, participate in network meetings and provide education to medical and nursing staff within the unit in order to improve quality and enhance care delivery.
Main duties of the job
