Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a rapidly expanding group of clinicians and clinical academics in Endocrinology & Metabolism at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) Applications are open to candidates with an interest in any aspect of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and with appropriate experience. The principal focus of the department is upon excellent clinical service and research.
This opportunity has arisen to further expand our clinical activity in Endocrinology & Metabolism. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join a rapidly expanding group of clinicians and clinical academics in the Warwickshire Institute for the Study of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (WISDEM), at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust. The purpose of this post is to undertake primarily clinical activity but also with the option for research, education/training, and specialist clinical training that includes provision of regular weekly clinical support of trials in diabetes and endocrinology based at UHCW. Alongside clinical training you will be able to further develop your academic skills. The post is based at UHCW NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job
The clinical fellow will provide clinical support to the Department under the aegis of the Clinical Director/Head of Service, Professor Randeva.
Flexible clinical sessions, but mainly in the PCOS service, also Reproductive Endocrine Services; Thyroid; Obesity
On-call in General Internal Medicine & Diabetes and Endocrine will be required as part of this post
Ward 33 Endocrine clinical activity, including undertaking senior decision maker ward rounds and supporting in resident Doctors on the ward.
Also with potential to
1) To contribute and manage the day-to-day research activity of the specified project and
establish a sound research with relevant legislation and Good Clinical Practice.
2) To provide regular weekly clinical input towards Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism.
3) To provide weekly input into related research trials within UHCW.
4) To publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and topublish and disseminate the results of research and scholarship in other outlets.
5) To contribute to the preparation of grant applications and projects including support of theexisting research team.
