Applications are invited for the post of Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, covering University Hospital Coventry and Hospital of St Cross Rugby. The Fellowship is designed for senior experienced trainees who have passed their FRCS (Tr & Orth) examination or equivalent, gained their CCT and who wish to gain specialist surgical experience prior to a Consultant post. Specialist knowledge in the field of Shoulder and Elbow surgery is required (minimum of 12 months in Shoulder and Elbow posts at SpR level) and the fellow will be expected to undertake some independent Clinical work in outpatients and the operating theatre. However, the popularity of the Fellowship is based on the volume of supervised operating the Fellow undertakes along with the specialist Shoulder and Elbow Trauma component.
Fellowship availability dates: From February 2026 - August 2026 and August 2026 - August 2027

Main duties of the job

- Participation in clinical audit.
- Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics, including the teaching of medical and nursing students.
