The Breast Imaging Unit are looking for a dynamic, hard-working individual to support the screening and symptomatic services within the unit. Candidates must have excellent organisational and communication skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator to join the Breast Imaging Admin Team to provide a specialised, comprehensive and confidential administration service in accordance with the Departmental, Trust and National Standards, policies and procedures. To provide assistance to the Screening Office Manager, in the day to day running of the busy office which covers both the screening and the symptomatic services.

Job responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of screening clinics in NBSS, to liaise with the SOM and colleagues to ensure that clinics are scheduled in line with the screening round plan- highlighting any areas that may be an issue in the 3 yearly round plan.
- Provide administrative cover with processing and collating of screening and symptomatic clinics ensuring all patients have an outcome which is followed throughout the relevant pathway.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the assessment clinics held at UH ensuring that all clients are recalled in line with current national screening recall to assessment guidelines, highlighting to SOM any issues with achieving this.
- Ensuring that paperwork for Multi-Disciplinary Team sessions is prepared in advance for the clinical team as per local rules. Liaising with the Data Manager ensuring that outcomes and data are recorded appropriately after the MDTs.
- Responsible for the ceasing of clients on both NBSS and the BS Select systems in line with national guidance.
- In conjunction with the SOM and High Risk Screening Lead, to plan and book symptomatic yearly surveillance imaging.
- Provide day to day support to band 2 and 3 staff ensuring that their workload and tasks are being monitored and assisting with any queries that may arise.
- Maintain the external Breast Screening Website updating through the third party supplier any changes to location or updates as appropriate.
- Ensure letters and texts are sent to clients through third party suppliers at the correct times.
- Act as the first point of contact for dealing with routine enquiries either on the telephone or over email.
- Responsible for ordering stationery and other equipment whilst monitoring and maintaining stock levels.
