Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Outpatient Musculoskeletal Service at UHCW. This role involves a caseload of both Primary and Secondary Care patients, and this post allows staff to rotate between 3 different locations UHCW Hospital Site, the City of Coventry Health Centre and Rugby St. Cross Hospital. Each rotation is 9 months long and will give staff the chance to experience a wide variety of patients as well as gain an understanding of the whole service and how each site functions within the pathway

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of staff including: Consultant Physiotherapists, First Contact Practitioners, Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, Extended Scope Practitioners, Physiotherapists and Technical Instructors.

As a member of the team, you will receive regular In-Service Training and peer supervision as well as the prospect for further training and development through shadowing, and CPD opportunities

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Main duties of the job

  • Manage a caseload of both primary and secondary care patients with varying diagnosis and or /complex needs, using evidence based/ client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a defined clinical area.
  • Ensure development of junior staff through supervision, training and annual appraisal.
  • Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical practice & service development within area.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust Physiotherapy service.
  • Take a lead for information management to ensure high quality data which is recorded, evaluated & reported in a timely manner.
