An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard working assistant practitioner to join our team. The Coventry Community Integrated Neuro and Stroke Service (CINSS) is a dedicated community rehabilitation service based in Coventry. They support people to be discharged home from hospital, when safe to do so, following a diagnosis of a stroke or other neurological condition and offer them rehabilitation at home.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Main duties of the job

This role involves providing support to registered healthcare professionals. You will possess a high level of skill and knowledge gained through experience and training, allowing you to perform specific tasks and assist in patient care. You will work flexibly alongside peers and several different therapists and can be delegated work from any registered therapist who works in the team. This might be Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietitians and Psychologists.

The structure of the team will enable you to work closely with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team and Clinical Lead. The team has strong leadership with experienced qualified therapy staff that will support your development through value based appraisal, work based competencies, peer and individual supervision.

  • You will be able to demonstrate and embody the trust visions and values
  • You will have excellent communication skills and experience of communicating with those who may need support to understand or express themselves.
  • You will be expected to work independently and effectively
  • You will be expected to manage a caseload of clients delivering a range of evidence based assessments and interventions to patients requiring neurological rehabilitation.
