Job summary
To support the Podiatry Team
Provide effective and efficient administrative support to the department and support the Band 4 Admin Team Co-Ordinator.
Expected to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.
Must be able to plan and manage a range of duties, organise own work to meet deadlines and respond professionally to enquiries both internal and external to the organisation.
Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

Main duties of the job
Assist in the provision of an effective administrative service across all services in the building, to support the clinical functions of the Trust. Work in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient clerical support service.
To ensure that a high standard of customer care is provided in all telephone and reception responsibilities using tact, discretion, and sensitivity. To ensure positive promotion of University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust values and vision.
- Providing an efficient and professional administrative/reception service across all services in the building
- Word-processing including copy typing.
- Handling all aspects of patient appointments via the telephone and face to face
- Cancelling and re-booking clinics / appointments as delegated by Supervisor / Line Manager
- Taking detailed messages via telephone or on reception, deal with them in a timely and efficient way and refer as appropriate.
