Job summary
Support the Registered Nursing staff in providing assistance and personal care for patients at Rugby, St Cross Hospital part of University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire. We have vacancies across both Trauma and Orthopaedics and our medical wards which include Care of the Elderly Medicine and Rehabilitation.

You must be aged 16 or over and have either a Level 2 BTEC Diploma or extended Diploma or equivalent qualification or have previous experience in a person-centred & public facing role.
Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)-Band 2-£23,615 + enhancements.
Sponsorship is unable to be supported with this role.
As a band 2 HCSW you must have previous experience of working within a person-centred & public facing role or already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification.
Full and Part Time Posts available. The salary will be pro rata for part time staff.
Successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list until a suitable vacancy becomes available in the Trust.
The Recruitment Centre:
If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a Recruitment Centre. This Recruitment Centre is intended to show you what its really like to be a healthcare support worker, and to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate how you would provide excellent quality care to our patients and their families within a modern health care facility.
The Recruitment centre will involve a basic literacy test and if you are successful, you will go forward to assessments & interview. If you are successful at interview, and there isnt a current vacancy that meets your needs, well keep in touch and update you as jobs arise. If we are unable to allocate you to your requirements your application will be withdrawn.
