Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with our dynamic NHS Payroll team? We're on the lookout for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Payroll Support Officer. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, managing the intricate flow of payroll data for University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, Rugby St Cross, ISS, and networks across the region. Your organisational ability and efficiency will ensure that all data is dispatched accurately and promptly to the right Pension, Payroll, or expense colleagues, meeting crucial payroll deadlines. With your pleasant and calm telephone manner, you'll handle inquiries with ease, making every interaction a positive one. Experience with the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system or Oracle is a plus, and your proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook will be essential. Main duties of the job
- To open and date stamp all incoming post, ensuring each item displays a valid assignment number, and is approved by an authorising signatory in line with the Authorised Signatory List (ASL requirements).
- Responsible for maintaining accurate databases that record all incoming applications for parental leave and distributing these to the appropriate Officer.
- Respond to and accurately carry out requests for earnings details from employees, Managers and external agents, including mortgage providers, and provide statistical information to relevant parties.
- To monitor and maintain the electronic post box for all amendments and terminations, ensuring they are distributed to relevant officer, raising queries for missing details/information directly with line managers, informing the Team Leaders about possible over/underpayments, proactively follow up outstanding queries.
