Join our dynamic and forward-thinking Occupational Health Shared Service as a Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the health landscape for employees across UHCW, GEH, CWPT, and a variety of external clients. Based at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, with opportunities to engage at other regional sites, this role offers a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership, and innovation.

Main duties of the job

1.Undertake pre-employment health assessment /triage in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and statutory requirements, assisting with the placement of employees with health conditions referring to senior Practitioner as necessary.

2.Manage a delegated immunisation clinic and or management referral caseload and assess, plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of care, provide support through distressing/difficult situations referring to multidisciplinary colleagues and senior colleagues where appropriate.

3.Develop a client centred approach to care and ensure that clinics run to meet the needs of the client group e.g. to time, with appropriately timed appointments in conjunction with the senior Practitioner.

4.Undertake health surveillance of staff groups exposed to hazardous substances in accordance with HSE requirements ensuring that completed surveillance results are relayed to the relevant department/Organisation manager. (for example, Spirometry, audiometry, skin assessment).
