You are expected, where identified, to attend and complete relevant training and development opportunities to support this. This may include Lean for Leaders, Advanced Lean Training, and the Human Factors Programme, amongst others. Full attendance and completion of identified courses is considered essential and a pre-requisite for this post.

Applications are open for a HPB Senior Clinical Fellow who wishes to gain experience in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery. The role would be suitable for a senior trainee .

o The Senior Clinical Fellow will be expected to manage Pre and post op patients.

o The Senior Clinical Fellow will be encouraged to publish and present at local and international meetings in HPB.

o Modular HPB cases hands on training (STU) for both benign and malignant conditions

o Cross site case observations

Main duties of the job

In addition to HpB registrar work, the duties of the post include providing senior cover for HPB patients, attending theatre/outpatient sessions and care of admitted General Surgical patients. There is a commitment to the acute general surgical rota (commensurate with experience). The appointed candidate will be expected to carry out a degree of clinical work (clinics) independently

There is access to modern imaging (CT PET), Endoscopy (ERCP and EUS) and robotics on single site.

The University Hospital is over a thousand bedded tertiary care, level III trauma unit. It is affiliated to Warwick Medical School (Warwick University) which is one of the foremost institutions in the Country.
