Job summary
You will work closely with the wider Anaesthetic Administration Team which consists of other administrative staff members, supporting the Anaesthetic medical staff daily. Your work will primarily focus on the development and maintenance of the anaesthetic rota, in liaison with a wide range of staff consisting of Consultants, General Management and clinical group representatives. In this fast-paced environment you must have the ability to prioritise workload, offer efficient time management along with the team and be able to demonstrate Trust values at all times.

Main duties of the job
- To provide daily administrative support of the electronic Anaesthetic rota (CLWRota) ensuring accurate population of shifts, minimising any vacant gaps through efficient and effective resource planning.
- To act as an initial point of contact within the Anaesthetic office, managing in-coming post, telephone, and email enquiries. Utilising initiative and knowledge to determine the necessary involvement of Senior colleagues, whilst ensuring all enquiries are effectively managed and resolved promptly and appropriate records are maintained.
- Provide comprehensive support in the coordination of Anaesthetic Consultants, staff grade Anaesthetist and Trainees. Including the management of annual, study and professional leave requests.
- Offer continuous support if necessary, during absence or sickness, and annual leave. With all administrative tasks within the Anaesthetic rota team.
