An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, highly motivated individual with excellent project management skills and experience in population health and reducing health inequalities, to join the Programme Management Office (PMO) at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.
Understanding the health and care needs of the people within Coventry & Warwickshire is key to the delivery of high quality care and reducing health inequalities. The postholder will provide full project management support using a population health management approach to identify and reduce health inequalities as part of the Healthy Hospital Programme which is an integral part of UHCW's new strategy "More than a hospital".
The role requires an individual who is an effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the organisation, in addition to working in collaboration with external stakeholders and/or organisations. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines is essential. Experience using project management software, tools and methodologies used to define, develop, manage and monitor project plans is also an essential requirement.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based within the Programme Management Office (PMO) and will work in collaboration with the Trust's Clinical and Non-Clinical Groups and Departments primarily to support the delivery of a healthy hospital approach with a focus on population health and healthinequalities.
The post holder will provide full project management support using a population health management approach to identify and reduce health inequalities as part of the Healthy Hospital Programme which is an integral part of the Trust's new strategy "More than a hospital". The Healthy Hospital Programme forms part of the wider strategic Outpatients Transformation Programme which aims to transform outpatients services within the Trust to deliver a more personalised model of care for patients.
In addition to providing support to clinical and non-clinical staff and other key internal stakeholders, the post holder will also be required to link with external partners such as Local Authorities, Primary Care, other community services and the voluntary sector to identify healthy lifestyle opportunities.
Delivering project objectives and benefits and facilitation of meetings and workshops to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged is essential. Analysis of data will be key in informing our Clinical Groups and Corporate Departments to enable them to improve services.

- To work as a member of the PMO to support the implementation and management of projects arising from the Healthy Hospital Programme which forms part of the wider strategic Outpatients Transformation Programme.

- Support Group Management Teams to identify and scope objectives and outputs of proposed projects using agreed documentation and processes ensuring all information is available in the project management office.
- Develop, facilitate and monitor the delivery of project
- Plan and organize meetings and activities required to support the delivery of identified project benefits.
- Ensure effective engagement with project key stakeholders to ensure that they are able to contribute, influence and progress project plans.
- Resolve complex issues as they arise and manage conflict situations, overcoming resistance to change. Escalate any unresolved issues through the appropriate channels in a timely and appropriate way
- Identify, assess and analyse potential risks to the realisation of project outcomes and initiate remedial action as necessary.
- Ensure appropriate evaluation metrics and monitoring systems are in place for projects using agreed Trust and departmental systems in order to produce a clear evidence base when measuring impacts of projects.
