Main duties of the job
Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Service (CWPS) is an established network, currently in the process of developing a blood sciences 'hub and spoke' model of care. VAMP is part of this transformation and as such, staff will need to rotate across sites and be required to participate in the 24/7 shift service. Specialist molecular testing will primarily be located at UHCW; whilst routine serology will be based on the hub site at George Eliot Hospital. Following a successful tender process, equipment will be updated on each of the sites within the next 12 months.
We offer the opportunity to participate in the ongoing transformation of the service and the ability to rapidly expand both operational and managerial experience
Successful candidates will be both patient and quality focused, innovative and professionally motivated, to help promote and progress CWPS services. They must be confident and adaptive with the ongoing changes and be willing to work flexibly within a demanding, yet rewarding environment.
