Job summary

An experienced qualified practitioner who can provide clinical leadership and management support to the UTC/MIU teams and provide optimum quality of care to all patients attending the Urgent care treatment centres/Minor Injury Unit, offering support to the multi- professional team. Providing assessments and treatments independently or in participation with other clinicians in accordance with agreed pathways and clinical guidelines. Developing and evaluating best practice within the UTC's/MIU.

The practitioner will be given the opportunity to develop their clinical skills in assessment and treatments. There will be an opportunity for ongoing professional development to support the role and development of the service at UTC's. The Practitioner will be able to work closely with colleagues at the UTC and those in the Emergency Medicine team to ensure best practice and relationships are maintained. The UTC's/MIU have a friendly , hard working team of practitioners, health care staff, GP's and Advanced Practitioners striving to ensure that all patients receive the the highest quality of care and patient experience.

Main duties of the job

A skilled practitioner providing support and leadership to the UTC/MIU teams. Responsible for the clinical assessment of patients both adults and children and management of patient treatments evidence based best practice in collaboration with the other UTC practitioners, Advanced Practitioners, GP's and health care support workers, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated involving patients and users.Maintain accurate records of all consultations and treatments in patients notes written and computerised. Ensuring all documentations are dated and signed appropriately.
