Are you a Clinical Psychologist experienced in Neuropsychology and looking for a new challenge in a busy Trauma and Neurosciences Centre? Or, are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist looking to enhance their skills in Neuropsychology?
Due to promotion of the current post holder, an opportunity has arisen to join the Neuropsychology Team at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. The Neuropsychology team serves both UHCW and Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation at George Elliot Hospital. This includes services for the Major Trauma Centre, Neurosurgery, Stroke and Neurology. This post is based at UHCW. It is an exciting time to join the Neuropsychology service which has undergone significant development and expansion in the last two years.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our team. The successful applicant will have roles across inpatient and outpatient neuropsychology services across Trauma and Neurosciences.
Main duties of the job
The role will require a clinician skilled in communication and keen to work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues to determine the cognitive, emotional and behavioural consequences of illness and injury and develop individually tailored rehabilitation plans for patients.
Your development is central to our thoughts, and you will receive regular supervision and mentoring by senior psychologists as part of the Neuropsychology Department at UHCW. You will have access to a wide range of training opportunities to develop your clinical practice and we are passionate about developing your skills in leadership and service improvement.

To work as an autonomous highly specialist clinician participating in regular clinical and managerial supervision, working at all times within professional guidelines and adhering to the standards set out by the Health and Care Professions Council and Trust policies and procedures.
The post holder will be expected to have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in order to deliver highly specialist neuropsychological assessments of patients, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex neuropsychological, psychologicaland physical health information collected from a variety of sources including psychometric tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct observations and semi-structured interviews with patients, family members and others involved in the care.
To formulate, make decisions and implement highly specialist plans for the psychological treatment and/or management of a patients complex and challenging clinical problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the patients difficulties, and employing evidencebased, effective interventions.
To be responsible for devising and implementing a range of highly specialist psychological interventions for individuals, families and groups with the service, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
