Job summary

We are looking for experienced Radiographers that have acquired skills in advanced practice. In addition to having a BSc. in Radiography or equivalent, you would have attained the Postgraduate Award in Mammographic practice and a Post Graduate qualification in Breast Invention.

The post holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary team, undertaking a range of duties to support the breast screening and symptomatic service at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. Other activities will be required to support the service including screening mammography related to the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP). We are looking for candidates with strong leadership with a 'can do' attitude, with the flexibility to meet our service demands.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to have specialist knowledge in Mammography and will work at an Advanced Practice level. Work will include undertaking symptomatic and screening mammography, image interpretation according to local and national protocols, stereotactic biopsies, Vacuum Extractions and Excisions and wire, clip, and seed localisations. Screening mammography will also be required according to service need.Duties will be undertaken flexibly in the week and some Saturday working will be required.

The post-holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary team based at the Coventry and Warwickshire Breast Screening Unit, undertaking mammography examinations related to the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) and symptomatic imaging referrals.
