Main duties of the job
The Trust is looking to recruit developing Education & Training Officers to support with training and development
As a member of the Education and Training Team, for West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust, the post holder would be responsible for the design and delivery, assessment, monitoring and evaluation of educational courses, the provision of clinical development of Ambulance Service staff
This would include periods of Operational Work-based training, Continual Professional Development and in house training within the Trust ensuring the development and training needs of staff are met
You will participate in the delivery of Higher Educational Modules to Level 6, providing in depth technical knowledge and relevant multi-disciplinary practical experiences to staff.
You are applying for a role in a forward thinking educational team delivering a wide range of educational programmes to approximately 7000 staff
Applicants must be HCPC Registered with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience (including completion of NQP portfolio & consolidation, if applicable) and must have a passion to deliver excellent education and training to new and established staff
You will be expected to to ensure completion of all required qualifications within an 18 month period.
Please note, this post is usually Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600 hours and therefore will not attract any unsocial hours

If this position involves a regulated activity it will require an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check. The disclosure will, where appropriate to the role, include information against the Independent Safeguarding Authority barred lists for working with children, adults or both
Where a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required for the post, all applicants are required to cover the cost of the check. The cost of £42.50 for an enhanced check is payable to our online provider at the time that the DBS application is submitted. Upon receipt of your DBS you will then be required to sign up to the DBS online update service.
