ENT Specialist Nurse

Job summary
- Having undertaken additional approved training and assessment as part of the role the post holder will work autonomously as a Specialist Nurse within agreed trust guidelines and local policies and protocols for the best outcome of nursing care.
- To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the planning, implementation and evaluation of that care of the ENT patient.
- To act as an expert resource and facilitator to educate and train other healthcare professionals as required.
- To develop the role according to changing needs of patients and service, also undertake audit and research projects, assisting with the development of policies and procedures as required

Main duties of the job
Help provide a nurse led service within ENT. Become a resource of knowledge for others. Take part or lead in audits within department, keep unto date with knowledge and explore developing role further.
Lead in the daily running of the department, deputise for the Department Manager in all areas of responsibility as required.
