Job summary
The Plymouth Oncology Centre is the lead tertiary centre in the Southwest Peninsula, currently employing thirteen Clinical Oncologists and two Medical Oncologist. We are seeking a replacement Consultant Clinical Oncologist due to vacancy. We are looking for a candidate to cover Gynaecology and one other site (to be confirmed at interview), these opportunities are negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Other interests will also be strongly considered, and jobs can be shaped into an individual's experience and preferences.
Main duties of the job
This is a full-time position comprising of 10 programmed activities (PA's) based at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust NHS Trust. As per trust guidance a minimum of 2.0 PAs are dedicated to SPAs. You will be expected to participate in a minimum of 1 in 13 acute oncology service cover including weekend rounds and off site cover at night. On call duties are supported by an Oncology SpR. Appropriate dedicated specialist nursing and administrative and operational support will also be provided.
