This is an office based role with some flexibility to work from home when business needs allow. Working days are Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job
The post holder's role includes the day to day delivery of a comprehensive and responsive Recruitment Service within the trust, including providing specialist guidance on creative advertising, robust selection processes, adherence to the NHS Employment Check standards and ensuring compliance with appropriate employment legislation. Be the first point of call for Recruitment queries and issues for managers and other key stakeholders.

Responsible for processing recruitment related correspondence and documentation ensuring efficient and accurate completion of safe recruitment procedures for designated areas to include advertising vacancies, shortlisting, preparing and issuing contracts, in line with employment legislation, Trust and Department of Health guidelines.
Support the recruitment officers in ensuring the whole recruitment process is carried out accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner in line with Trust Policies and Procedures. Ensure staff and members of the public are dealt with courteously, diplomatically and efficiently. Deal with enquiries and promote the interests of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust optimising all recruitment opportunities. This may include signposting and referrals in line with HR requirements. Participate in recruitment and careers events as required at both a local and national level (sometimes outside office hours) Maintain departmental filing systems ensuring that information can be retrieved quickly and efficiently. Attend Open Days, Recruitment events and other recruitment programmes. Input data for vacancies/ applications, interviews, new starters and any other recruitment related information through NHS Jobs and ESR. Responsible for processing and placing adverts (locally, nationally and internationally), liaising with advertising agency and recruiting managers within designated areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with Trust procedures and journal deadlines. Participate in meetings and activities relating to the recruitment process (e.g. relevant departmental meetings and recruitment and retention meetings), and support the implementation of change.
