Job summary
A rare and exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in Main Outpatients as a Band 5 Registered Nurse. An effective communicator, you will be expected to provide an efficient and effective service to all users of the department. You will have the opportunity to develop and practice a diverse set of clinical skills working alongside various specialties, including arterial vascular, ENT and plastics. This part time role includes working day shifts between Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays). You will work with a dynamic team of nurses and support staff providing excellent care to patients on the outpatient pathway.

Main duties of the job
For the right candidate, this is an opportunity for a rewarding job that provides variety, including complex and simple wound care and assisting in our minor ops theatre with foam sclerotherapy and ENT minor procedures. Experience in wound dressings including an ability to perform compression bandaging would be advantageous, (or a willingness to complete a competency pack for compression within an agreed set time frame). The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of working in a demanding environment, where excellent patient focused skills and attention to detail are paramount. Having good problem-solving skills, you will demonstrate a willingness to support junior staff in the everyday running of Main Outpatients whilst being rewarded with the time to provide high-quality care to patients in this setting.
