Job summary
We are looking for an innovative and dynamic nurse with proven Dermatology experience to enhance our team by providing expert clinical practice, education, professional leadership and service improvement. The role will be pivotal to working collaboratively with the MDT team, in building capacity and expanding the nurse led services to further shape and deliver the strategic vision of a National Dermatology Centre of Excellence.
This successful candidate will work alongside another ACP and team of CNS nurses to define, shape and develop the Nurse Led Drug Monitoring Service. responsive to the needs of patients and staff, so an interest in inflammatory dermatology is essential.
You will be able to demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge and expertise about treatment options for inflammatory dermatosis and manage a caseload of patients autonomously in nurse led drug monitoring clinics.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
Advanced clinical practice is delivered by experienced, registered health and care practitioners. It is a level of practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making. This is underpinned by a master's level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competence.
Advanced clinical practice embodies the ability to manage clinical care in partnership with individuals, families and carers. It includes the analysis and synthesis of complex problems across a range of settings, enabling innovative solutions to enhance people's experience and improve outcomes. (HEE, 2017).
The Inflammatory Dermatology ACP (Advanced Clinical Practitioner) is vital in assessing and managing patients with inflammatory skin conditions, developing treatment plans, monitoring disease progression, administering therapies, providing patient education, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise care.
