Learning Disability and Autism Administrator

Job summary

To work as part of the Learning Disability (LD) and Autism Liaison Service supporting the clinical team with all clerical tasks, including data collection, audits, attending meetings and note taking, and assisting with the development of relevant materials/documents so that the Trust delivers its obligations to patients with a Learning Disability or Autism.

Main duties of the job

Support the clinical team in delivering daily activities and overall processes of the Learning Disability and Autism Service.

Share information and agreed resources with patients under clinical guidance, including via the Trust website and social media platforms.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient contact.

Report any urgent issues or concerns to the clinical team or lead nurse promptly.

Assist with data collection and auditing by regularly checking the RAPA system and team emails to update the inpatient/outpatient list and notify nurses of ED visits and new admissions.

Contribute to team communication tools such as the whiteboard, communication book, messages, and email, as directed.

Use the Patient Information Management System to support Learning Disability and Autism activities, including enquiries and tracking medical notes.

Organize meetings as instructed: book rooms and take notes when needed.

Coordinate Learning Disability and Autism training sessions and bespoke sessions: book rooms, manage attendance, and liaise with participants.

Respond to general enquiries from professionals, patients, and the public.

Perform general office tasks: typing, filing, data entry, answering phones, photocopying/scanning, and preparing meeting documents.

Produce accessible reading materials/documents as directed by the clinical team.

Help coordinate service user groups and Link Practitioner meetings, as required.
