Job summary
This DCT3 post is to work with colleagues to provide high-quality service in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). This post will be based in the Department of Dental Specialities and Maxillofacial Surgery in Derriford Hospital, University Hospitals Plymouth (UHP).
This role provides an excellent opportunity to use and develop surgical and non-surgical skills. This DCT3 post is to work with colleagues to provide high-quality service in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). This post will be based in the Department of Dental Specialties and Maxillofacial Surgery in Derriford Hospital, University Hospitals Plymouth (UHP). This role provides an excellent opportunity to use and develop surgical and non-surgical skills. You will be part of a 1:7 on-call rota, which would include evening and weekend work with appropriate senior support.
Main duties of the job
This is a full time post (40hours), with on call. Clinical sessions are distributed between clinic (new patient and follow ups), local anaesthetic sessions, operating theatre sessions and patient administration. Due to the nature of care that we provide, the balance of these sessions may be adjusted, as capacity and demand fluctuate. The post holder may be asked to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues.
