Want to make a real difference and support your local NHS? Plymouth Hospitals Charity is seeking a motivated and friendly Fundraising Assistant to join our team. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on charity experience, with the option to complete a nationally recognised Level 3 Fundraising Apprenticeship.
In this role, you'll:

Be the first point of contact at our vibrant Charity Hub

Assist visitors, donors, staff and volunteers

Process donations and manage donor records via our CRM

Support fundraising campaigns, events, logistics and volunteers

Help with social media, email, print and internal comms

Support our lottery, donor stewardship and ensure compliance with GDPR/NHS/Fundraising Regulator standards

Main duties of the job
- Act as the first point of contact for fundraisers, members of the public, staff and supporters in the Charity Hub.
- Provide administrative support across a wide range of fundraising activities, including individual giving, events, community fundraising and legacy income.
- Responsible for the accurate recording of fundraising income, Gift Aid declarations and donor information on the charity CRM system.
- Support fundraiser stewardship by ensuring timely acknowledgements and assisting with thank-you communications.
- Help to deliver events and fundraising campaigns, including sourcing materials, coordinating volunteers and attending events.
- Contribute to marketing and communications via social media, email, print and internal platforms.
- Support reception duties, handling cash/card donations, signposting visitors and answering queries.
- Support the administration and delivery of the public lottery, including supporting volunteers contacting lapsed players and stewarding current members.
- Assist the Fundraising Manager by researching new partnership opportunities with local businesses, events and stakeholders.
- Help ensure all activity complies with GDPR, NHS governance, and Fundraising Regulator guidance.
