We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recovery Day/case Practitioner
ENT Surgery will soon be working across both the Derriford and REI (Royal Eye Infirmary) sites in Plymouth. Therefore, we need to expand our existing team. We are looking for a recovery practitioner (with both stage 1 and stage 2 skills) with experience in caring for ENT patients.
The role will include being involved in the initial planning process right through to commencement of and ongoing ENT lists at the REI.
The successful applicant will:
Be competent in stage 1 and /or 2 recovery or an anaesthetic practitioner willing to undertake stage 1 recovery
Work closely and collaboratively with existing Band 6 Team leaders at the REI to develop and deliver an education package around safe recovery and discharge of ENT patients.
Undertake care for both ENT and Ophthalmology patients
This is an exciting role and fantastic opportunity to develop current skills whilst being part of the wider team delivering on a new project.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and delivering effective, high quality perioperative care for the surgical patient, following a client-centred model of practice and ensuring area of work runs smoothly and efficiently
- o carry out their duties within the guidelines of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct/HCPC professional guidelines.
- To contribute to the overall efficiency and development of the theatre service.
