Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a lead role in the development of the Peninsula Pathology Network across Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This role will work closely with the Network Team and each of the four acute Trust laboratories and staff in their organisations. The successful applicant will build on the existing programme of work to deliver a clinically effective and sustainable pathology service. It will specifically support the Clinical Effectiveness Group and the Pathology Operational Delivery Group with programme management.
This role will be responsible for the governance of network wide projects that will deliver sustainable benefits. This role will report to David Gibbs, Pathology Network Director.

Contract - Fixed Term for 1 year with a view to extension following funding approval.

Main duties of the job
1) Project management support for the Peninsula Network Director
2) Operational and strategic management of Peninsula Pathology Network projects.
3) Day-to-day leadership and management responsibility for the development and delivery of effective project management support for the Network
4) Day-to-day leadership and project management responsibility for the development and delivery of special peninsula wide projects as designated by the Network Director
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
