Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, capable and motivated individual to join the Lumbar Spine Pathway administrative team as a part time medical secretary.

The role is interesting and demanding, and will require someone who is flexible, able to work well within a busy environment, and can demonstrate their ability to prioritise and organise their workload.

The ideal candidate must have a flexible 'can do' attitude and the ability to use own initiative with excellent communication/interpersonal and IT skills.

The working hours will be Monday - 7.5 hours, Tuesday 7.5 hrs and Wednesday - 6.75 hours per day.

Main duties of the job

To provide the booking, administrative and secretarial support for the Lumbar Spine Pathway.

To provide daily coordination and organisation of referrals received into the pathway ensuring appropriate booking process takes place. To provide support and preparation of notes for clinics.

To provide typing service for all resulting correspondence.

6. To support ESP in all systems relating to pathway.

7. To arrange appointments clinics using Choose and Book and iPM Waiting list management system.

8. To co-ordinate the speciality waiting lists and adhere to the Waiting List Policy
