Job summary
The Project Support Managers will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the various liver health and elimination projects and initiatives aimed at elimination the hepatitis C virus and improving liver health within a defined region or population across the South West of England.
The position will require strong project management skills, a good understanding of HCV epidemiology and treatment and ability to effectively collaborate with a large variety of people and organisations.
You will be an effective communicator and be able to prioritise and organised your worn workload along side being a lone and team worker. Independent and have access to transport as travel across the south west will be required.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
Job Purpose:
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and timely development and implementation of new Hepatitis C Elimination projects and provide project management support to the South West Peninsula Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network, which encompasses 6 major Trusts in the region.
The post holder will support the safety, quality and efficiency of clinical services and will support the planning and delivery of the service to achieve its operational performance standards and its financial obligations through effective leadership and service improvement.
The post holder will support service developments, processes and procedures for all work undertaken within assigned projects.
The post-holder will focus on managing service delivery and will demonstrate strong leadership skills when managing relationships across ODNs and with associated services in the community.
On a day-to-day basis the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that services are delivered within available resources to specified volumes and quality standards. They will also be responsible for performance and financial management across the ODN ensuring that resources are used in the most efficient and effective manner.
