Job summary

To support the Hospital Catering Operations at the offsite location at Estover, and to ensure that all areas at Bridge House including equipment, utensils and cooking implements are cleaned to a high standard.

This will include walk in fridges and freezers and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment paying particular attention to all areas.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure a friendly, efficient, and courteous service is provided to both internal and external customers demonstrating high standards of customer service and cleaning at all times.
  • Manage food safety and hygiene standards within the department and ensure effective guidelines within the Food Safety Policy.
  • Support with the audit process ensuring that the CPU passes all internal audits and EHO audits.
  • Ensure all record keeping and documentation is completed in a systematic and timely manner.
  • Ensure a friendly, efficient, and courteous service is provided to both internal and external visitors demonstrating high standards of cleanliness at all times.
  • Ensure all record keeping and documentation is completed in a systematic and timely manner.
  • Cleaning of catering and service equipment including work surfaces, and related equipment manually and by use of machines to hygiene standards
  • Clean Cutlery, utensils, containers and small-scale equipment manually and through machine washers to required hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all relevant cleaning schedules are adhered to and signed on completion daily.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality and Trust policies and procedures and all documentation and work records are completed accurately.
