PenRAD Shared Insourced Reporting Project Manager

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and results-driven project manager to join us for a 6-month fixed term contract, to manage the implementation of the PenRAD Shared Reporting Initiative - a innovative scheme to deliver a peninsula-wide insourcing model for shared radiology reporting.

This is an ideal role for a project manager with experience of working in the NHS on multi-faceted cross-Trust programmes, ideally with some background in or experience of imaging.

Main duties of the job

PenRAD is the imaging network for the peninsula, a collaboration of imaging services in Devon and Cornwall established in 2021, to deliver improved quality and access to patient care and to manage resources more effectively.

PenRAD has been tasked with implementing a networked insourcing scheme to enable effective sharing of available reporting capacity across the five hospital locations which will seek to reduce individual trusts increasing their spend on outsourcing. This in-house provision is expected to improve reporting turnaround times and maintain quality.

The project manager will work closely with the PenRAD leadership team and with clinical, IT, finance and administrative colleagues from across the Devon and Cornwall NHS Trusts to deliver the initiative.

Key elements of the role are to be able to discover, design and deploy new processes for insourcing, while managing competing demands, prioritise effectively, produce high level documents such as reports, presentations, and spreadsheets, analyse complex information, and utilise this information to make informed decisions. Being able to work effectively within a multi-professional group, and also as an autonomous manager in progressing workstreams will be vital.

The role will be remotely based with some travel, mainly across Devon and Cornwall, expected.
