Job summary
We require an RN, for the post of Junior Sister/ Junior Charge Nurse, on Hembury Ward for a permanent post.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 to join our nursing team on Hembury Ward. Hembury Ward is a busy 28 bedded respiratory ward incorporating 4 level 1 beds.
We aim to provide a friendly and professional working environment, whilst delivering a high standard of care to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated Band 6 that can display good management skills, have demonstrable post registration experience, preferably within respiratory nursing, and to have demonstrable experience in mentoring and developing staff and clinical expertise.
You must be prepared to complete additional training/competencies as required.
This Band 6 must be forward thinking and dynamic in their approach to change.
They must demonstrate a desire to deliver high quality patient centred care and develop the nursing team.
You must be compassionate, kind, caring, committed to becoming a respiratory nurse and have a good sense of humour. Respiratory training will be provided and ongoing support.

Main duties of the job
To support the Ward Manager to provide clinical management, leadership and expertise in all aspects of service delivery within the sphere of responsibility.
The post holder, with support from the ward manager, will ensure that high standards are are developed, implemented and maintained, by ensuring clinical development of all staff within the department.
To lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, leading care teams and creating a positive learning environment.
