An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Clinical Microbiology at King's Mill Hospital for an enthusiastic and highly motivated HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) to join our dedicated team.
We are seeking a committed individual with a strong interest in microbiology and a passion for delivering high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be an effective team player with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to laboratory work.
Key Responsibilities:

Completion of the IBMS Registration Training Portfolio

Experience working within a Clinical Microbiology laboratory
The post-holder will perform a wide range of bacteriological, serological and molecular microbiological investigations. Using strong analytical and interpretative skills, you will contribute to the provision of accurate and timely diagnostic reports. This includes identifying causative organisms of infection and interpreting antimicrobial susceptibility results to support optimal patient management.
