Essential
- Full GMC Registration
- JAG accreditation for colonoscopies
- Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination (FRCS or equivalent)
Desirable
- Postgraduate thesis
- MD/MSc/MMEd
- Completed fellowship programme in colorectal surgery
Experience
Essential
- Successful completion of an appropriate SpR/ST/equivalent training programme
- Experience requisite to meeting all aspects of the job plan
- Ability to lead and maintain clinical credibility with a multi-professional team including senior trainees
- Extensive practical General Surgery experience, in particular Colorectal Surgery
- Capable of taking part in the emergency General Surgery on call rota (excluding vascular)
Management & administrative experience
