Sherwood Forest Hospitals have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Pharmacy Department as an Intermediate Dispensing Pharmacy Assistant. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting patient care by ensuring that every patient receives the right medicine at the right time.
Based in our busy acute hospital setting at King's Mill Hospital, you will work closely with clinicians and be part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to delivering safe and effective pharmacy services. This unique training post offers a one-year placement combining monthly virtual college attendance with on-the-job learning to complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Apprenticeship. To meet course requirements, you will also undertake a minimum of 10 hours of home study per month.
You will gain hands-on experience within the Dispensary, developing essential skills and knowledge to support the safe supply of medicines to patients across the Trust.
Essential qualifications: o 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade D/3 or above, including Maths and English Language. o Certificates must be provided.
