Job summary
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic Operations Assistantto join the Surgery Division at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a key role within the Business Support Unit, directly contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will provide operational and administrative leadership to a team of Patient Pathway Coordinators, Clinical Typists and Records Assistants, ensuring patient pathways are effectively managed from referral through to discharge. You will work closely with clinicians, managers and corporate teams to support service delivery, performance monitoring and service improvement initiatives, helping the Trust meet national targets and quality standards.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organisational and IT skills, and enjoys motivating and supporting others. You will use data and performance information to drive improvements, contribute to projects and ensure consistent, patient-focused processes are followed across the service.
