Clinical Support Worker

The closing date is 01 January 2026

Job summary

Join our dedicated team at King's Mill Hospital as a Clinical Support Worker, where you will help deliver exceptional, compassionate care to children, young people, and their families.

Our Children and Young People's Outpatient Department is purpose-built to meet the unique needs of our patients. We provide care to a diverse population, from neonates through to teenagers, supporting a wide range of conditions. As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will uphold the Trust's values of compassion, openness, and trust in everything you do.

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, personalised care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will support clinical activity by acting as a chaperone when required and providing effective distraction and safe, supportive assistance during venepuncture procedures.

You will carry out delegated clinical tasks, including measuring and recording clinical observations, maintaining patient safety at all times and escalating concerns in line with Trust policy. You will engage with children, young people, and their families in an age-appropriate, reassuring, and compassionate manner, helping to create a positive outpatient experience. You will also work within the Trust's safeguarding framework, following all relevant policies and procedures.

Apply today and help us deliver outstanding care to our youngest patients.

About us

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as 'outstanding' for care and our King's Mill Hospital as the only 'outstanding' NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.

Not all of our roles are eligible for visa sponsorship. To find out which roles are eligible, please refer to the shortage occupation list found here:
