An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of midwives overseeing the National Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programmes at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
Our well-established screening team is committed to ensuring women and babies receive the highest standard of care. We are looking for a motivated and experienced midwife to take on a senior role as Joint Lead for Screening Programmes, influencing care pathways and driving best practice across the Trust.
About the Role - Provide professional leadership and expert advice across antenatal and newborn screening programmes.
- Work collaboratively with midwifery colleagues, support workers, obstetric and paediatric consultants, and external agencies.
- Deliver a varied role combining office-based responsibilities with clinical care.
- Key duties include:
- Teaching and training staff.
- Developing and implementing care pathways in line with national recommendations.
- Failsafe processes, report writing, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Clinical care for women with positive screening results, including arranging pathways and supporting those opting for pregnancy termination.
