Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Skin Cancer Team as a pivotal member supporting the administrative and coordination aspects of the service. Working closely with specialist nurses and medical colleagues, you will help ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals affected by skin cancer.
You will be responsible for supporting the clinical management of patients by facilitating effective communication across the Trust, Primary Care, and external agencies. The role involves assessing patient and carer needs, providing general information and support, and ensuring that patients receive holistic, multi-faceted care throughout their treatment journey.
This role requires a proactive and compassionate individual who can work both independently and collaboratively. You will be expected to manage and monitor investigations, coordinate appointments, and ensure timely access to care. Your actions will directly support the provision of the highest quality patient care and continuous service improvement.
At Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we are committed to delivering outstanding care and supporting our staff to thrive. You'll be part of a supportive team making a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

About us
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as 'outstanding' for care and our King's Mill Hospital as the only 'outstanding' NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
