Job summary

Ward 12 at King's Mill Hospital is looking for adedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Workerto join our busy Surgical Ward. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team delivering high-quality care to surgical patients.

Our ward consists of24 beds, including3 bays and 12 en-suite rooms, offering a modern and well-equipped environment that supports both patient recovery and staff wellbeing. You will work closely with ourestablished Multi-Disciplinary Team, which includes nurses, doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, all committed to deliveringpatient-centred care.

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their personal care needs, assisting with mobility and nutrition, and helping to maintain a safe and comfortable ward environment. You will also contribute to clinical observations and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely communication within the team.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Must understand basic requirements for individualised personal care
  • Awareness of Safeguarding issues Recognise people's right to privacy and dignity, treating every person with respect

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ 2 in care
  • Educated to a good standard of general education equivalent to GCSE Maths & English level C or above
  • Care Certificate or commitment to achieving within 2 weeks of commencement

Desirable

  • Care Certificate" qualification. NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care

Further Training

  • Able to attend a 6-day Clinical Induction
  • Committed to attending further training and development as identified

Experience

  • Able to demonstrate clear and robust verbal and written English communication skills
