Curious about medical terminology and clinical data?This role offers a unique opportunity to start as a Band 3 Trainee Clinical Coder and the potential to progress to aBand 5 Accredited Clinical Coder-- fully supported by structured training and development every step of the way.
As a Clinical Coder, you'll play a key role in transforming detailed clinical information from patient records into nationally recognised codes (ICD-10 and OPCS-4). These codes inform everything from hospital funding to service planning and patient care outcomes -- making your work essential to the NHS.
You don't need prior coding experience -- just a strong foundation of GCSEs (or equivalent), great attention to detail, excellent IT skills and a passion for learning. Some experience with hospital systems is a bonus, but what's more important is your commitment to accuracy, organisation, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
