You'll be at the forefront of developing innovative approaches to care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support some of our most complex patients.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve conducting individualised assessments of patients, addressing needs such as: Hand dexterity, Feeding, Personal care, Splinting, Cognitive assessments, Anxiety management, Pacing.

You will be expected to work independently, providing high quality, advanced therapeutic assessments, managing patients with diverse presentations, and complex physical and psychological problems.Participating in working across both ICU/HDU.

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, BSc(Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • HPC State Registration.
  • Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at post graduate courses relevant to the clinical field

  • Membership of a professional special interest group

  • Postgraduate clinical experience

  • Experience of supervising junior staff and occupational therapy students
