Job summary

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Pre-Packing Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy department, supporting the delivery of high-quality medicines to the Trust and external customers.

The Pre-Packing Department at King's Mill Hospital plays a crucial role in providing over-labelled medicines to clinics and wards of the Trust to enable the safe and efficient discharge of patients.

As a Pre-Packing Assistant, you will be responsible for undertaking tasks essential for the smooth operation of our department. From picking/checking orders, putting stock away and daily cleaning to labelling & packing down large batches of medicines, your contributions will be integral to ensuring efficient service delivery.

  • To possess knowledge of procedures for packing or equivalent.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Maths and English Grade CGCSE/GCE.

Desirable

  • NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services.

Further Training

  • Manual handling training
  • Health and Safety Training, including COSHH, Fire and Security

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of following procedures
  • Proven team member and ability to work alone
  • Proven oral and written
  • Communication skills.
  • IT / keyboard skills.

  • Stock Control
  • Filing/Record keeping.
  • Good Housekeeping Skills
  • Pharmaceutical Prepacking
